Description
The mandarin duck (Aix galericulata) is closely related to the North American wood duck. When I was noodling through the internet to identify the duck, I had to look closely at both ducks to figure out which this was. The differences are notable once I identified these bird, but both are fabulous. Colors look painted on and the outlines look like they were carved.
