Description
The Main Street Bridge crosses the St Johns River in Jacksonville. It's officially the John T. Alsop Jr. Bridge after former mayor Alsop. It was the second bridge built across the St Johns river and is a lift bridge. It's one of the most recognizable features of the downtown Jacksonville skyline. It's quite a view in the daytime and even more so at night! It looks very blue, but honestly, looking out from my hotel balcony, that's exactly the color it is in the daytime - the bridge is blue, the buildings are glass and reflect the blue sky and blue water. It's bee-you-tee-ful!
