A 6-toed cat at the Hemingway House in Key West, Florida has a difficult decision to make. Martini or wine? Can you see the 6 toes? There are 50 or so cats that live the good life at the Hemingway House. Many of them are descended from Hemingway’s original white polydactyl cat meaning they have 6 toes on each of their front feet). About half of them living there now are polydactyl. All of them were born there.
NOTE: No cat was injured in this photography. The glasses have ice water in them. The Hemingway cats enjoy ice water throughout the property, sometimes in wine glasses. 😀 😁 (And, of course, if I had to modify this description to make this clear, then you know somebody was indignant about the title ….)
