I took this photograph in Tanzania. The Maasai are a Nilotic ethnic group in Kenya and Tanzania. I spent a couple of hours in a small Maasai. The village would be a hard place to live because it’s very stark, treeless, and basic with few amenities like electricity, water. Life is hard for them but apparently they choose or prefer this life to life in the city. I know I only spent a very short time but the people I met were so friendly, welcoming, happy, and they loved watching us as much as we loved watching them. The woman in this picture has a happy face and was so gracious and proud as I took her picture.
